International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on the 3rd of December each year and aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrates their achievements and contributions.

IDPwD provides an opportunity for us to make positive changes to the lives of the 5.5 million Australians living with disability, including the 2,807 people in the Bathurst Local Government Area who reported needing help in their day-to-day lives due to a disability.

This year, Council will be hosting a  free Silent Disco and Lawn Bowls at the Greens on William on Wednesday 3 December 2025. There will be multiple sessions held on the day, with each session available to a specific age group.
