The current Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) 2022-2027 is in its final year. The NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 mandates that Council’s must have a current DIAP, as it plays a critical role in promoting inclusion and accessibility across the region. In line with this legislation and to meet the deadline of July 2027, Council will be undertaking consultation for the creation of the DIAP 2027-2031.
Council is building on the progress of our previous Disability Inclusion Action Plans. The DIAP aims to set out practical steps for the development of an accessible, inclusive and welcoming community for everyone across the Bathurst region.
