Bathurst Edgell Jog - 20 September 2026

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council advises that Russell Street and William Street will be temporarily closed on Sunday, 20 September 2026 between 6am and 2:30pm for the 2026 Bathurst Edgell Jog. 

Any inconvenience is regretted. 

 

Temporary Road Closures - Race Week Off Track Events - 2 to 14 October 2026

As part of the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 Race Week Off Track Events, the following changes to traffic conditions will be in place.

Temporary Road Closures

  • Russell Street between William Street and George Street.
    • 6:00am Tuesday 6 October to 6:00am Thursday 8 October.
    • 6:00am Saturday 10 October to 6:00pm Tuesday 13 October

    Pedestrian access will remain to the Civic Centre, Bathurst Court House and Historical Society building.

  • Church Street between Parish Lane and Ribbon Gang Lane.
    • 6:00am Friday 2 October to 6:00am Wednesday 14 October.
  • Church Street between William Street and George Street.
    • 6:00am Tuesday 6 October to 6:00am Thursday 8 October.
    • 6:00am Saturday 10 October to 6:00pm Tuesday 13 October

      Pedestrian access will remain to all buildings and residents on Church Street.

  • William Street between Church Street and Piper Street.
    • 4:30pm – 7:30pm on Wednesday 7 October.

Temporary No Parking

  • William Street between Church Street and Piper Street from 6:00am – 7:30pm Wednesday 7 October. Limited parking spaces will be left available directly outside of select businesses until 2.00pm.
  • From 6:00am Wednesday 7 October fixed pedestrian barriers will be in place along William Street between Russell Street and Piper Street for pedestrian safety and will be removed immediately after the parade has finished.

Parking

  • Event Parking – On street parking within the Bathurst CBD is advised.
  • Taxi Zone – The Taxi Rank on Russell Street between William Street and George Street and on Church Street will both not be available during closure times. It will be relocated to the corner of George Street & Russell Street, across from the Western Advocate during road closures.
  • Bus Zone – Russell Street bus zone between William Street and George Street will not be operational during road closures. A temporary bus stop will be installed on Russell Street in front of Elders.
  • Disabled Parking – Located on the William Street end of Kings Parade on Tuesday 7 October and Monday 12 October and on the corner of William Street and Church Street in front of the Skillset building on Wednesday 7 October.
  • Pick-Up/Drop-Off Zone – Installed on either end of Kings Parade on William Street and George Street for event stall holders from 6:00am to 12:00pm Tuesday 6 October and for event patrons from 6:00am Monday 12 October to 6:00pm Tuesday 13 October.
  • Scott Centre Car Park – Access will remain to businesses and residents via the gate next to the Post Office on Howick Street when Church Street is closed.

Temporary Noise Disruptions

Please be advised that noise levels in the area may be elevated during these events due to scheduled entertainment activities.

Mount Panorama - Circuit Closure - Repco Bathurst 1000 - 3 to 12 October 2026

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed to traffic at the following times to conduct the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000.

6am Saturday 3 October to 2pm Monday 12 October 2026

  • Mountain Straight - just above the entrance to the Paddock Camping Area
  • Conrod Straight - just above Murray's Corner

Persons wishing to gain access to the Track should enter via Panorama Avenue and Pit Straight.

Traffic Management: Traffic will be controlled on Panorama Avenue, Havannah Street and Lloyds Road from approximately 5am on Thursday 8 October until 2pm Monday 12 October 2026.

Residents: Under direction from the Clerk of the Course, access for residents will be facilitated through Murray’s Corner at specific breaks during the racing schedule.  Correspondence outlining all access arrangements will be distributed to residents directly.

Admission Gates: Commence operations from approximately 7am on Thursday 8 October until Sunday 11 October 2026.

Mount Panorama - Circuit Closure - Mount Panorama Punish - 25 October 2026

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed to traffic at the following times to conduct the Mount Panorama Punish

Sunday 25 October | 7.45am - 9.30am

Resident access will be available during the closure - residents are advised to refer to the notice provided to them.

Temporary Road Closure - The Kaleidoscope Festival - 7 & 8 November 2026

As part of The Kaleidoscope Festival taking place on Saturday 7 November, the following changes to traffic conditions will be in place.

6am Saturday 7 November to 6am Sunday 8 November 2026

Road Closure

  • Closure of Durham Street between Hope and Mitre Streets.
  • Closure of Hope Street between Durham and Howick Streets.

Reduced Speed Limit

  • Reduced speed limit of 40km/h on Mitre Street between Durham and Howick Streets, and on Howick Street between Mitre and Hope Streets.

No Parking

  • No parking on Durham Street between Hope and Mitre Street and , and on Hope Street between Howick and Durham Streets.

Taxi Zone and Drop-off/Pick-up Zone

  • The permanent taxi zone on Howick Street will be utilised.
  • A pick-up and drop-off zone will be located on Durham Street near the John Matthews Sporting Complex Carpark.

Accessible Parking

  • A designated accessible parking zone will be located in the John Matthews Sporting Complex Carpark on Durham Street.

 

Resident access will be available during the closure.
