Temporary Road Closure - 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Track to Town

Council advises that the following closures and changes to traffic conditions will be in place for the 2026 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Track to Town event.

Road Closures

  • Closure of Russell Street between George Street and William Street from 6am to 6pm Thursday 12 February 2026.

No Parking

  • No parking zone (100m) on Church Street between George Street and William Street (Kings Parade side) from 6am to 6pm Thursday 12 February 2026.

Taxi/Bus Zone & Accessible Parking

  • Temporary relocation of the Russell Street taxi rank and disabled parking to the existing taxi rank and disabled parking on Church Street on Thursday 12 February 2026.

Temporary Road Closure Mount Panorama - 2026 Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour

Track Closure: The Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed and traffic will be controlled for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, from approximately 7am Wednesday 11 February to approximately 12 noon Friday 20 February 2026 (inclusive), to control the movement of spectators:  

- Mountain Straight: just above the entrance to the Paddock Camping Area  

Conrod Straight: just above Murray’s Corner.  

Persons with the correct ticketing/accreditation wishing to gain access to the Track should enter via Panorama Avenue and Pit Straight. 

This access is to be used by all persons with proper accreditation wishing to gain access to the Circuit.  

Residents: Barriers will be set up at Murray’s Corner and Mountain Straight with security arrangements for residents to proceed to their homes. 

 

Temporary Partial Road Closure - Mount Panorama - Bathurst Light Car Club - 28 February & 1 March 2026

The public is advised that part of Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed to traffic on Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March 2026, between the hours of 7am and 5.30pm, to allow the Bathurst Light Car Club to conduct two rounds of the NSW State Hillclimb Championships - 

Esses Hillclimb – Saturday 28 February 2026 – from the high side of Bathurst Goldfields’ gates on Conrod Straight up to and including McPhillamy Park gates on Skyline. Alternate access to McPhillamy Park will be via Barry Gurdon Drive until 12 noon, thereafter via the rear access road off College Road near the Waste Management Centre.

Mountain Straight Hillclimb – Sunday 1 March 2026 – from the area known as Hell Corner at the commencement of Mountain Straight to the eastern side of McPhillamy Park entrance on Skyline. Alternate access to the top of Mount Panorama will be via Barry Gurdon Drive.

Temporary Partial Road Closure - Mount Panorama - Autofest - 7 & 8 March 2026

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed between Murrays Corner and Hell Corner (Pit Straight) on Friday 6 March (3pm until 11pm), Saturday 7 March (7am until 11pm) and Sunday 8 March 2026 (7am until 6.30pm). 

Alternate access will be via Conrod Straight, entering from Panorama Avenue, while access to Boundary Road, Hinton Road and Panorama Avenue will be via the access road through CSU paddock.

Temporary Road Closure - 2026 Bathurst NRL

The Bathurst NRL match between Penrith Panthers and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks will be taking place on Saturday 14 March 2026. The following changes to traffic conditions will be in place.

Saturday 14 March 2026 | 6.00am to 11.00pm

Road Closures

  • Closure of Howick Street, between Bentinck and Seymour Streets.
  • Closure of the southbound traffic on Durham Street, between the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre entrance and Havannah Street. Northbound traffic on Durham Street will remain open with one way traffic only.
  • Resident access will be available during the closure.

No Parking

  • No parking along the Great Western Highway, between Durham and Havannah Streets.
  • No parking on Howick Street, between Seymour and Havannah Streets.
  • No parking on Durham Street, between the Great Western Highway and the entrance to the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre and the southern side of Durham Street between the Great Western Highway and Havannah Street.
  • Within the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre carpark (parking will still be available for Bathurst Visitor Information Centre and Harvest Cafe customers only).

Taxi & Bus Zone and Drop-off/Pick-up Zone

  • A drop off and pick up point for buses and taxis and private vehicles will be established on the northern side of Howick Street between the vehicle entry into the Bathurst Sportsground and Havannah Street.

Accessible Parking

  • A designated accessible parking zone will be available in the Bathurst Sportsground (entry via Howick Street).

Temporary Partial Road Closure - Rally of Bathurst - 14 March 2026 - Cashens Lane & Mount Horrible Road

The public is advised that the following roads will be temporarily closed on Saturday 14 March 2026 for the 2026 Rally of Bathurst – 

  • Cashens Lane (7.30am – 2.30pm) - between approximately 2km past the Macquarie Woods turn off to just before Ophir Road 

  • Mount Horrible Road (1.30pm – 6.00pm) – between Dark Corner Road and Limekilns Road
