Road works

During April our works crews will be working in the following areas: 

Urban Roads

  • Eltham Drive Kelso  - heavy patching
  • Osborne Ave and Edgell St intersection - heavy patching 

Crews will also be working in:

  • Havannah St (Morse Park - refuge island)
  • Locke, Adrienne, Frome Streets and Banksia Place, Raglan; Golsby, Baillee, William Streets (between Piper and Rocket Streets), Bathurst, Lee Street, Kelso and Rockley Road, Perthville

In  May:

  • Road pavement repairs will be undertaken in William Street, between Piper and Rocket Streets.  Work will involve multiple asphalt pavement repairs to restore the condition of the street. Crews are scheduled to start the works on Monday 11 May. Works are expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting.

Rural works

  • Mt Rankin area - Whalans Lane - maintenance grade
  • Old Truck Road - maintenance grade
  • Hill End Village - drainage maintenance

White Rock Road - Lee Street intersection to Wallaroi Close

  • Scope: Road reconstruction of the existing pavement including widening and drainage improvements. Approximate length: 850 m.
    • Status: Scheduled to commence early April
    • Funding Source: Roads to Recovery – Federal Government
  • Turondale Road at ‘Gimlet Gulley’
    • Scope: Road pavement upgrade for 1 km (500 m each side of the newly constructed culvert).
    • Status: Scheduled to commence February/March 2026, anticipated completion May 2026.

    Funding Source: Regional Emergency Road Repair Fund (RERRF) – State Government

Weed spraying

Roadside weed spraying will be undertaken on the Trunkey/Goulburn Road throughout April. 

All works are weather dependent 

Safety Upgrades - Sofala Road

Council will be installing safety barriers along Sofala Road on behalf of Transport for NSW at various locations between Bathurst and Sofala.  Work will take place between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday from Monday 20 April, with work expected to take six weeks to complete, weather permitting.

There will be some traffic impacts with reduced speed limits and single lane closures at the work sites.
