On 2 June 2025, Council commenced restoration of eight heritage lamps in Chifley Park, West Bathurst.
The original cast elements of the lamps will undergo restoration works including rust removal, metal work and repainting. This will require the disconnection of the lamps for a period of 2 to 4 weeks.
The works will be undertaken by Council staff with assistance from local metal fabricator Chris Horton Manufacturing.
The project is funded through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
