National Motor Racing Museum
The National Motor Racing Museum celebrates the rich history of Australian motorsport, with a particular focus on Bathurst and Mount Panorama as the spiritual home of Australian motor racing.
Located at the legendary Murray’s Corner, an address the envy of motorsports Australia wide, it’s an easy stopover while visiting the Mountain.
From its beginnings as a temporary display, the Museum, originally known as the Bathurst Motor Racing Museum, was officially opened in 1988 by the late Peter Brock. Over the past 30 years, the Museum has grown substantially, expanding its collection to cover all facets of Australian motorsport from the 1920s to today.
Discover the stories of legendary drivers and iconic events through original trophies, race suits, leathers, race footage, and historic photographs. The collection showcases the dominant machines of Australian touring car, open-wheel, rally, motorcycle, and speedway racing.
The Museum features ever-changing exhibitions, so no matter when you visit there’s sure to be something new to take in; and the spectacular Immersive Room, where visitors can experience the speed, sound, and excitement of racing at Mount Panorama like never before.
