Scams Awareness Week 2026 - Free Community Workshop

Scams Awareness Week is an annual scams awareness campaign run by the ACCC on behalf of the Scam Awareness Network.

In 2026, the campaign will run from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August. The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘No one’s just a number.’

This Scams Awareness Week Council are facilitating a Free Community Workshop at the Bathurst Library from 11:00am until 12noon Thursday 27 August 2026. This workshop will identify:

• What a Scam is and how to be scam aware
• The different types of scams and local trends
• What are the red flags you should look for.
• What to do if you think you have been scammed.
