One Month Until the 2026 Mount Panorama Punish
Published on 25 September 2026
There's just one month to go until the Mount Panorama Punish returns for its 9th year on Sunday 25 October, and entries are on track to mark its biggest year yet!
Bathurst Mayor Cr Ben Fry encouraged all runners to get involved in the inaugural Council-led Punish, urging them to continue the legacy created by locals Jenn Arnold and the late Stephen Jackson.
"Returning to The Mount next month, the Punish gives you the chance to experience our iconic 6.2km Mount Panorama circuit like never before – on foot! Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a weekend warrior or simply up for the challenge, it’s a great opportunity to get active and have some fun.
"Your experience on The Mount can go beyond the track too. As a first in 2026, camping at Mount Panorama will be available over the race weekend. You'll be able to stay onsite with powered campsites available to be booked in the Paddock Campground from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October.
"Don't hesitate to take on the challenge – 2026 is looking to be our biggest year yet. Whether you tackle the race solo or take it on as a team, make sure you get in before entries are sold out. Or, if you are looking to be part of the fun but not so keen to sweat it out, we are still on the lookout for volunteers to join our ‘Punish Pit Crew’ who help to make the Punish a reality," commented Mayor Fry.
Co-founder and event Ambassador of the Mount Panorama Punish, Jenn Arnold, further noted the passion so many runners share for this event.
“I'm so excited to see the Punish come to life again for the 9th year! For so many runners, it's become a fantastic annual pilgrimage and for others a fun new challenge," said Ms Arnold.
Council also extends its appreciation to the generous sponsors of the Mount Panorama Punish, Raine & Horne Bathurst, The Tattersall’s Hotel Bathurst, Dedicated to Fitness Bathurst and Bathurst Physio & Sports Injury Centre. Their support allows the Punish to grow and excel year on year.
