On Tuesday 3 November, join a storytelling and reflection workshop at Bathurst Library.

Led by the editors of the book 'Write Around the World', Barbie Robinson and Barbra Baikie, and a panel of contributors, this event celebrates the diversity of women’s experiences while exploring the universal themes that connect us - family, place, identity, belonging, resilience, kindness and community.

Mayor Ben Fry noted participants are invited to engage in and listen to stories from women of diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.

"This storytelling workshop provides the chance to listen to and focus on the stories of a multitude of women. Participants will have the chance to reflect on their own experiences through guided writing and storytelling activities, as well as explore memories of places that have shaped them, moments of connection with people from different backgrounds and the values and experiences we share.

"Reflecting on the personal stories in this book reminds us that, no matter where we come from, we really are no different from each other. We all have the same aspirations for ourselves and our families – peace, education, opportunity and a sense of belonging," said Mayor Fry.
