Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood, the winners of the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000, were presented with their Winners Plaque at a ceremony on Russell St today.
The two were welcomed to Bathurst this week as their names join previous champions of the Bathurst 1000 in the Victor’s Walk outside Bathurst Regional Council Civic Centre.
Mayor Cr Robert Taylor remarked winning the Bathurst 1000 is a prestigious feat in the sights of countless racecar drivers.
“It was a privilege to welcome back and congratulate Brodie and Todd, last year’s winners of the Great Race - the first winners in the history of the Bathurst 1000 in fact to finish the race in under six hours!
“Their named plaque will be joining more than 60 others in the Victor’s Walk. This is a deserving accolade and key moment for their driving careers,” said Mayor Taylor.
