Pesticide Use

The NSW State Government’s Pesticides Regulation 2009 requires Councils and other public authorities to notify the community when they use or allow the use of pesticides in public places that are owned or controlled by Council.

Bathurst Regional Council has prepared a Pesticide Use Notification Plan. The Plan describes:

  • What public places are covered by the plan;
  • Who regularly uses these public places and an estimate of the level of use;
  • How and when Council will provide the community with information about its pesticide applications in public places, and
  • How the community can access this plan and get more information.

Relevant Product Warnings: Harmful if swallowed, causes skin irritation, can cause eye damage, drowsiness or dissiness, damage to organs from prolonged or repeated exposure, very toxic to aquatic life

Location: Llanarth Drainage Reserve

Proposed Date: Between 1 Februaray 2026 - 1 April 2026

Purpose of Use: Weed Control Blackberry
