APPLICATIONS FOR BATHURST REGIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL 2023/2024 ARE NOW OPEN!
The Bathurst Regional Youth Council empowers young people to represent the voice of youth in the Bathurst region and to develop their skills to build engaged citizens and progressive leadership. The Bathurst Regional Youth Council strives to promote a positive community environment.
The Bathurst Regional Youth Council’s role is to represent the voice of young people who live, work and study in the Bathurst Local Government Area.
The Bathurst Regional Youth Council aims to represent the voices and opinions of all young people in the region and so we encourage young people from all backgrounds to apply. This opportunity is inclusive of people with lived experience of disability.
Information Session
Council will be holding a Youth Council Information Session on Monday 29 May 2023 from 4:30pm until 6:00pm in the Council Chamber (first floor, Civic Centre, cnr Russell & William Streets). Come along and meet some of the current Youth Councillors and Council’s Community Development Team.
This session is an opportunity to learn more about what is involved in being a Youth Councillor and the skills/knowledge you will gain from the experience.
Young people interested in finding out more information about the Youth Council are encouraged to attend this Information Session to help determine whether the Youth Council is for you. Family members and/or friends are welcome to accompany young people to this informal session.
Application Process
To apply for the Bathurst Regional Youth Council 2023/2024, please complete the online Application Form below before the closing date.
Applicants will be assessed and Youth Council members selected based on responses provided to the application questions.
