Proclamation Day

Bathurst will be acknowledging the anniversary of its first Proclamation by Governor Lachlan Macquarie in 1815, on Sunday 9 May 2021. The event will consist of an Official Proclamation Ceremony at 10am at the Flag Staff acknowledging the 2020 Living Legends and announcing the 2021 Living Legends.

A commemoration of past Bathurstians will take place at the Pillars of Bathurst, followed by light refreshments. Residents are encouraged to wander along the Delightful Spot trail to learn about Bathurst’s rich history on self-guided tours.

The events will adhere to current NSW Health guidelines and conducts activities in a COVID Safe manner. We ask that when participating in activities, people maintain social distancing and do not attend any activity if feeling unwell or experiencing flue like symptoms.
