Centennial Park upgrade

It’s good news for the future of Centennial Park with Council accepting a tender of $1 million for the stage one upgrade of the much-loved park.

Centennial Park is part of our city’s history, and we want to preserve and improve this space for future generations to enjoy.

The upgrade of Centennial Park will provide the necessary park infrastructure and services for the community and most importantly maintain and enhance the tree canopy cover that already exists.

Australia's festival of pre-loved stuff returns to the Bathurst region this spring with epic stuff at 80's prices as the Garage Sale Trail goes retro in 2022.

Don your bum bag for two big weekends of garage sales held simultaneously in garages, unit blocks, schools and ovals around the nation on 12-13 & 19-20 November. The festival is dedicated to helping you extend the life of your stuff and find pre-loved gems.

From acid wash denim to leg warmers, vintage vinyl, Rubiks cubes and even the odd banana phone, there’s something for everyone on Australia’s biggest pre-loved treasure hunt.

Trail Tutorials

This year the Garage Sale Trail are also offering three free online workshops as part of the Trail Tutorials between 29 October and 5 November. A series of inspiring and educational online talks about sustainable fashion and home renovation.

Hosted by an all-star cast including renovation guru Barry du Bois (Network Ten’s The Living Room), Walkley-award-winning journalist Annabel Crabb (ABC’s Ms Represented) & comedian and waste warrior Craig Reucassel (ABC’s War On Waste).
