What's on at the Library

Due to COVID-19 restrictions Bathurst Library has moved events online or cancelled events until further notice.

As well as online author talks and presentations we have online events for children.

  • Introducing a series of five memoir writing workshops with Kerry Chater.
  • NSW Reads book club encourages library members to read Sydney author Andrew Pippos’s debut novel, Lucky’s.
  • Keep the kids reading over the summer with our annual Summer Reading Club! Read and log each book, or complete challenges and activities to win tickets into the overall prize draw.
    Summer Reading Club runs from December 1st, 2020 - January 31st, 2021.
    The theme for this year is Myths, Legends & Fairytales; Tales of Wonder and is open to children aged 0 - 17yrs.
    Register online or in the Library, plus you can log books online and complete online quizzes, or pick up a challenge sheet in the library for more chances in the prize draw.

  • Join Robyn Hardina as she discusses the role her fifth great uncle, John Rowley, played in exploring routes to Bathurst and the Central West.
    Hear about John, the expedition route and reasons why he is not remembered for his explorations in this free history talk.
    Robyn Hardina is author of A Gentleman of the Rum Corps: The biography of Captain Thomas Rowley and his descendants.
