B-ROCK SUPER WEDNESDAY

Supercar Driver & Transporter Parade
B-Rock Super Wednesday kicks off a jam packed week giving you the chance to get up close and personal with the drivers of the Super Cheap Auto Bathurst 1000. Line the streets and watch the Supercar Transporter Parade as the trucks and driver make their way up William Street.
Where: William Street to Kings Parade (Russell St)
Time: 11.30am - 2.30pm

Driver Signing
Meet the stars of the Supercars Championship at the official off-track Drivers autograph signing session. There will be kids activities, V8 utes, the B-Rock BBQ and much more.
Where: Kings Parade (Russell Street)

THURSDAY

The National Motor Racing Museum Legendary Moments Dinner
Enjoy a great dinner and breathtaking views of Mount Panorama as you listen to Paul Morris & Phil Brock, 2 legends of the Bathurst1000, as they relive their historical and memorable moments of the Mount. FRIDAY

RCG Locksmiths V8 Ball

SATURDAY

Saturday Street Fair
Come down to Kings Parade to meet Mack the Transporter and his famous Friend Lightning McQueen from the Disney Movie CARS2. Don’t miss your chance to race and play through the CARS themed slide, obstacle course or driver training zone before sitting down to watch CARS the movie. There are rides for the big kids too, for only $2. For those who are after a relaxing day out, wander through the food and market stalls whilst enjoying fantastic local entertainment. There’s no better way to spend your Saturday than being part of this fun filled fair.

Colouring in Competition

Once again the ever popular Colouring In Competition for primary school aged children is back!
Five lucky winners will get the chance to ride in a Supercar Transporter Truck with 1 parent/guardian during the B-Rock Super Wednesday Transporter Parade on Wednesday 5 October, and will also receive an exciting merchandise pack from Supercars.
Entries must be returned to Council by Friday 30 September and the winner will be announced on Monday 3 October.

ROAD CLOSURES

Wednesday:

Transporter Parade Marshal Area

  1. This event will require closure of Durham Street between Havannah Street and Kendall Avenue (GWH) from 6.00am to 11.45am with no traffic movement until reopening at 11.45am.

  2. Temporary No Parking signage will be on both sides of the street and is to be in place by 4.00pm Tuesday, 4 October.

  3. Transporter trucks make their way through the streets, with spectators encouraged to line the streets and cheer the trucks on their way to the Mount.

Super Wednesday

  1. This event will require the closure of Russell Street between William Street and George Street from 5.00am until 6.00pm on Wednesday 5 October 2016.

  2. Temporary No Parking signage will be on both sides of the street and is to be in place by 4.00pm Tuesday, 4 October.

  3. The event includes driver signing sessions and an exhibition of V8 racing cars along with the B-Rock BBQ.

  4. Temporary relocation of the 33m Russell Street Taxi Rank to Church Street (between George and William Streets) taking up 6 parallel car parking spaces from 5.00am to 6.00pm Wednesday 5 October. The temporary Taxi Rank is to be of the same dimensions as the permanent rank.

 

Saturday:

Saturday Street Fair

     1. This event will require the closure of Russell Street and Church Street between William Street and George Street from 5.00am to 10.00pm Saturday 8 October.

     2. Temporary No Parking signage will be on both sides of the street and is to be in place by 4.00pm Friday, 7 October. 

         The Saturday Street Fair will be held from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday, 8 October, in King’s Parade (Russell Street) and the closure allows for set up and dismantling of a stage, rides and other activities. The activities within the CBD will also require a temporary Bus Zone to be created in George Street next to Machattie Park from 8.00am Monday, 3 October, to midnight Sunday, 9 October.

     3. Temporary relocation of the 33m Russell Street Taxi Rank to George Street (between Church and Russell Streets) taking up 9 angled car parking spaces from 5.00am to 10.00pm Saturday 8 October. The temporary Taxi Rank is to be of the same dimensions as the permanent rank.

  1. ‘No Stopping’ between Havannah Street and Charles Sturt University (CSU) main entrance both sides from Wednesday 5 to Monday 10 October 2016 inclusive.

  2. ‘No Stopping’ between CSU main entrance and Browning Street on the north western side from Saturday 8 to Monday 10 October 2016.

 Hvannah Street

  1. ‘No Stopping’ between Panorama Avenue and College Road both sides from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 October 2016.

  2. No Stopping’ between College Road and Rocket Street on the north western side from Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 October 2016.

         Lloyds Road

  1. Closure to west bound traffic at the intersection of Havannah Street from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 October 2016 inclusive.

The temporary bus zones include a temporary bus zone in Lloyds Road adjacent to and to the west of St Philomena’s School (96m in length) for 3 buses extending to the west to the existing children’s crossing; and a second temporary bus zone 40m to the west of the first temporary bus zone (60m in length) for 2 buses. These bus zones are proposed to operate from Thursday morning to Sunday night.
