Mobile and Home Library Services

med image mobileThe Mobile Library Van

The Mobile Library Service conducts regular visits to Sofala, Wattle Flat, Trunkey Creek, Rockley, Turondale, and Hill End, including visits to Primary Schools in Sofala, Wattle Flat, Trunkey Creek, Rockley and Hill End. The Mobile Library Van offers a selection of Library resources including books, magazines, graphic novels and DVDs to borrow.

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service provides a free home delivery of library materials to eligible members in private homes, nursing homes, day care centres and retirement villages in the Bathurst area. Library staff select from the Library resources according to individual preferences. These selected materials are then delivered on a three-week cycle.

People living in the Bathurst area who are unable to visit the library because of incapacity due to illness, disability or age, or their carer, are eligible to register for the Home Library Service. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Home Library Service will be asked to supply a medical certificate stating they are unable to come to the library themselves. Library staff will visit the person to find out what type of material they would be interested in receiving and to complete the necessary form.

If you or someone you know who would benefit from the service and would like more information, please contact Bathurst Library
ph. (02) 6333 6281
