Waste 2 Art Community Art Competition 2018

It's time to challenge the way we look at waste!

The annual Waste 2 Art Community Art Competition is now open. This exhibition and competition gives aspiring and professional artists a wonderful opportunity to showcase their artistic abilities and share creative ideas about waste re-use and reduction. The Waste 2 Art program involves a Local Competition with fifteen different categories for students of all ages, general community members, and professional artists. Entries can be 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional, or involve a soundscape. The artworks may be sculpture-based, functional in nature, and/or contain a building element.  This year's theme is.... polystyrene.

The most inspiring work from each category will receive a prize and be entered in the Regional Competition scheduled for June in Narromine. The Regional Competition will offer cash prizes to the total value of nearly $9000.

The deadline for submitting artworks is 4 pm on Tuesday April 24th 2018. Additional information is available on the 2018 Waste 2 Art Entry Form.

The Bathurst exhibition will run from 28 April - 13 May at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre from 9am - 4:30pm (weekdays) and 10am - 3pm (Saturdays and Sundays). An awards ceremony will be held for competition entrants on Tuesday May 1 at 6pm.
