Waste 2 Art Community Art Competition and Exhibition 2019
Entries into the 2019 Waste 2 Art exhibition and competition are now open!
Waste 2 Art is a waste inspired art exhibition with a category for every member of the community from pre-school students through to aspiring and professional artists. The focus of Waste 2 Art is to challenge the way we look at waste and entries should incorporate some element of recycling by including waste items. The 2019 theme waste is Baling Twine and Strapping but artworks do not need to include these materials and artworks can be made from any recycled material instead.
Waste 2 Art has been running for more than 10 years in Bathurst and local exhibitions are also held in many other communities across the Central West from the Blue Mountains to Broken Hill. The exhibition and competition is supported by Netwaste and winners from the local exhibition held in Bathurst have the chance to go on to the Regional Exhibition which in 2019 will be hosted by Oberon Shire Council. Apart from the opportunity to display your artwork in a large public exhibition there are some great prizes on offer at both the local and regional exhibitions.
Entries will close on Wednesday 8 May 2019 and entry is free. Multiple entries and group entries are also welcome.
The exhibition will once again be held at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre and the exhibition will run from 11 - 19 May 2019.
