Help rebuild habitat for our city’s grey-headed flying foxes. Don your gardening gloves, embrace the outdoors and lend us a hand to help replant native trees that were recently vandalised along the banks of the Macquarie Wambul River!
Commencing at 10am at the end of Morrisset Street (just near the Wastewater Treatment Plant) on the banks of the Macquarie River, adults and kids alike can assist in planting native trees, that once mature, will provide important habitat for this threatened species.
Council will also have a free BBQ lunch afterwards.
All equipment is supplied and volunteers are encouraged to wear enclosed shoes and a wide brimmed hat.
