Marang Connections
Marang Connections is a free 12-month program aiming to increase resilience, wellbeing and social connections for disadvantaged and disengaged young people aged 8-16 years. Young people will be offered one workshop/session per month facilitated by professional and reputable organisations to promote marang (well/good - Wiradjuri) lifestyles and connections.
The sessions will include:
- Cooking Workshop
- Sports Afternoon
- Aboriginal Artefact Workshop
- Swim Safety Session (must register by calling 6333 6523)
- Music Video Workshop
- Bike Safety Workshop (see flyer below...)
- Art & Mural Workshop
- Health Education Session
- NAIDOC Week Activities (girls business/boys business)
- Guest Speaker Yarn
- Family Fun Afternoon
20 regular participants will be invited to attend a cultural camp in September 2023 at Yalmambirra Boogijoon Doolin.
