The annual Garage Sale is back with a flare! In past years held at the Mount Panorama Pit Complex the Garage Sale has been a popular event within the region however in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic the Garage sale will not be held at Mount Panorama as it has been adapted to suit the current climate. Taking on an entirely new format Bathurst Regional Council has become a registered member of the national Garage Sale Trail campaign, championing the mission of reducing waste through the on selling of goods.
The annual Garage Sale Trail is a nationwide held event both online and in communities across Australia allowing residents, shops owners, schools and community groups the opportunity to host a physical garage sale at their venue or a virtual garage sale online as the Garage Sale Trail team provide all the tips, support and promotional materials you need to sell big and advertise what is on offer. Every garage sale has an individual style and gets a sale page that provides clues to who’s involved and what’s on offer. Shoppers also have the opportunity to search for sales, items of interest and make a trail of the sales they want to shop. The aim of this years ‘Recovery Edition’ is to help Australians get back on their feet economically by selling used goods at an affordable price through an easy, safe and environmentally friendly event.
This is a COVID SAFE event held over two days on the 21 & 22 NOVEMBER. It is free to register to host a garage sale and registrations are open now. To find out more information regarding how the Garage Sale Trail works and what you will receive as a participant go to the Garage Sale Trail website.
