The Sustainable Living Expo is coordinated by Council to provide information about sustainable living, including green design and construction, solar power, gardening and wildlife. This year the Expo will feature Sticks and Wombat from The Block. Sticks and Wombat are fun loving DIY'ers who have gained heaps of experience in the area of home renovation and upcycling. They will be sharing this experience along with some great tips they picked up along the way for making your home more comfortable and cheaper.
Junkyard Beats, a fantastic band that makes and plays their own instruments and Shoalhaven's Zoo to You ensuring there will be something for every member of the family to enjoy.
The Expo also features a variety of stalls by local businesses and environmental groups and is held in conjunction with the Bathurst Farmers Markets. The Expo will be held on Saturday 24 March 2018 from 8am to the special time of 1pm at the Bathurst Showgrounds and entry is via a gold coin donation to gain access to both the Expo and Farmers Markets.

The Sustainable Living Expo continues to grow and after a great event in 2017. This year the Sustainable Living Expo will feature Sticks and Wombat from the Block. Sticks and Wombat will be talking about their experience on The Block as well as the things you can do to your existing house or new build or renovation to make it more comfortable and cheaper to live in. They are fun loving guys who worked hard on the Block. Friends for over 15 years they learnt a lot on The Block about themselves and building. They are looking forward to coming to Bathurst and sharing some of their experiences with you.
The Expo will also feature Junkyard Beats, who are renowned for their dynamic rhythm shows. They will be presenting a series of high-energy routines that include body percussion, fire drumming, junk percussion and hilarious skits. Their family friendly show draws on inspiration from everyday life, the streets and the junkyard. It is filled with imagination, humour and a lot of rhythm. In the hands of Junkyard Beats, ordinary household items are transformed into musical instruments that create a booty shaking, toe-tapping , electric atmosphere that makes you want to get up and move.
Shoalhaven Zoo to You will be back with their Australian wildlife show and all the favourites are coming with them. This is your chance to meet a wombat, koala and whole variety of lizards and snakes. Learn about the wildlife you might find in your backyard whilst getting the rare chance to see up close those shy creatures we usually only see from a distance.
