Free Public WiFi

Smart Community

Bathurst Regional Council has installed a Free Public WiFi service across a number of central business district and recreation areas.  The service went live in March 2019.

The areas covered by the Free WiFi program are identified in the map below.

Through the Free Public WiFi service Council aims to make it easier for visitors and residents to find out more about what's on, when and where in our region an dhow to access local facilities and services.

Please note: large buildings and tall structures may impact on the strength of the WiFi signal resulting in some blackspots with the CBD area.

In establishing a free WiFi network, Council has developed a policy to govern the use of the Wi-Fi system. Council has adopted the Public Wi-Fi Acceptable Use Policy. Download WiFi Policy here.  Download Privacy Policy here.
