Drainage Diagrams

What is a Drainage Diagram?

A Drainage Diagram shows the location of the external house drainage lines and the location of the Council's sewer mains.

A Drainage Diagram is one of the documents required to be attached to a contract of sale as stated in the Conveyancing (Sale of Land) Regulation 2005.

Bathurst Regional Council issues these diagrams in its role as the local sewerage authority.

If Council does not have a drainage diagram showing these details then a diagram will be issued showing the location of Council's sewer main and the junction to the property.  For properties that are not connected to Council's sewer infrastructure, a drainage diagram will not be available.

How do I apply?

You can apply for a Drainage Diagram by completing the application form or you can visit Councils Environmental, Planning & Building Services Department to obtain a copy of the form.

Fees and charges?

The schedule of fees is available on Council's application form or by calling the Environmental, Planning & Building Services Department on 6333 6531.

Council will provide a drainage diagram free of charge to the property owners.
