Aboriginal Commitment Strategy

Circle Aboriginal ArtworkBathurst Regional Council is undertaking community consultation to develop the Bathurst Regional Council Aboriginal Commitment Strategy. The Strategy will guide Council in working effectively and collaboratively with the Aboriginal community of Bathurst. The consultation process will include a survey, stakeholder workshops and community yarning circles. The stakeholder workshops and community yarning circles will be facilitated by an independent consultant.

Council recognises the importance of ensuring the local community’s voices, ideas and concerns are reflected in the Strategy.

Stakeholder Workshops | Friday 18 February 2022

Stakeholders are invited to attend one of the following workshops.

10:00am – 12:00pm at Bathurst Local Aboriginal Land Council
1:00pm – 3:00pm at Kelso Community Hub

Yarning Circles | Saturday 19 February 2022

Community members are invited to attend one of the following yarning circles.

9:00am – 11:00am at West Bathurst Public School
12:30pm – 2:30pm at Bathurst Local Aboriginal Land Council
4:00pm – 6:00pm at Kelso Community Hub
