The Council run Australia Day celebrations will be another great opportunity for locals to celebrate what's great about Australia and the Bathurst Region.

Australia day 2012 events will be based around the theme of 'Celebrating your Australia Day Bush Style'. The days events will focus on showcasing Australia's rich heritage with great NEW attractions planned for the event.

Australia day in 2012 will be bigger and better with a growing number of participants joining in on the fun every year. Come along in 2012 to take part in some of our great events:

• Flag raising ceremony
• Official presentation and awards ceremony
