Each year Bathurst hosts an exciting range of Off-Track Events for the community and the tens of thousands of visitors that descend on Bathurst for the week-long festival. The attention of the nation will be turned on Bathurst during the annual Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, but the action wont be confined to the Mount Panorama track.

 

The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 Race Week is the biggest event on the Bathurst calendar, and the Bathurst community and all welcomed visitors will be spoiled for choice by the array of activities, and entertainment on offer for the week-long event. This year the Race Week calendar includes:

 

B-Rock Super Wednesday

Official V8 Driver Signing and Transporter Parade -   5 October

To kick start one of the most electrifying weeks in Bathurst, B-Rock FM is hosting the B-Rock Super Wednesday. Here fans will be able to cheer on their favourite drivers as the V8 Supercar Transporters roll into town and make their way along Williams Street up to Mount Panorama.

Race fans are then invited to bring along their race memorabilia for the only official Off-Track V8 Supercar Drivers Signing. V8 team drivers will be lined up along Kings Parade signing autographs for all their fans. So bring the whole family along and meet the V8 drivers.  There will also be a special V8 Ute display and the drivers will be on hand to meet and greet with all the fans, with photo opportunities with the V8 Utes available.

 

Where:  Kings Parade (Russell Street) Bathurst

Time:    V8Supercar Transporter Parade begins at 11.00am

             Driver Autograph Session begins at 12.15pm

 

If Wednesday was not already super enough, look on as 2010 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 winners Mark Skaife and Craig Lowndes unveil their championship plaque. After all of this why not let the fun continue? With jumping castles, face painting, food and drinks and a whole lot more to make it a very Super Wednesday.

The National Motor Racing Museum Legends Dinner - Thursday 6 October

The annual Legends Dinner is a fantastic opportunity for race fans to enjoy an evening of great food, wine and to meet the guest/s of honour. The guest of honour are past racing legend, and in previous years Dick Johson, John French, John Goss, Kevin Bartlett, Jim Richards and Steven Richards and other well known Legends have attended the event.

With the 2011 honorary guests; Allan Grice, Colin Bond and Tomas Mezera, the night is sure to be entertaining.

 

Where: Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre

Time: Doors open at 6:00pm

Cost: $60 per ticket (be quick as tickets sell out fast!)

Audi V8 Ball -Friday 7 October

Why not continue the party with the Audi V8 ball. Enjoy a 3 course meal with music by Nuthin’ 2 Serious and special performances by Cirkus Surreal. Proceeds of the night will go to the Carenne School Bathurst and Cirkus Surreal.

Cost: $80 per ticket.

The ball will take place at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, Friday 7 October at 6:30pm.

The Great Race Street Fair - Saturday 8 October

Where: Kings Parade (Russell Street) Bathurst

Time: 1.00 - 8.00pm

Cost: Entry is FREE

Everyone is invited to share in the fun and excitement of the Saturday Street Fair held in Kings Parade in Russell St. There will be free live entertainment on the Essential Energy Stage, including performances by JUSTICE CREW, The Mikey Pye Band and the Fabulous Fat Brothers. The whole family will enjoy rides, face painting, live acts, games, a BBQ and other great food, and a variety of market stalls.

On Saturday anyone can be a stall holder and sell their fabulous home made or specialty items, all you have to do is fill out the store holders application form, applications close 9 September, 2011.

The Saturday Street Fair is a popular event that all ages can enjoy. The day ensures families can have a great day out without the expense. So come along and take part in all the action and fun at the Saturday Street Fair.
