Under Section 149 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 a person may, on payment of the prescribed fee, apply to Council for a Planning Certificate with respect of any land within the area of the Council. Schedule 4 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 outlines what the Section 149 Planning Certificate is to contain.

Under Section 149(A) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 a person may, on payment of the prescribed fee, apply to Council for a Building Certificate with respect of any land within the area of the Council. The certificate is to be issued in accordance with section 149A-149E. Clause 281 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 outlines the form of Section 149(A) Certificate.
