Development


Bathurst Regional Council is the regulatory body in relation to building and development works within the local government area. This section outlines when approvals are generally required for different types of work. Under certain circumstances approval from Council for development is not required. This is called "Exempt Development".  Complying Development involves categories of development that can be "fast tracked" by meeting a list of certain criteria. In all other cases approval from Council is required.
