Quality community services form the basis of the great lifestyle opportunities in the Bathurst Region. Council’s objectives in 2006-07 are to;
- Provide equitable access to high quality services to meet the needs of residents of the Bathurst community.
- Consult with members of the community and provide a means for them to influence decision making regarding issues that affect them.
- Adopt an integrated approach to the provision of community facilities and services.
- Promote access and equity in community service provision and facilities.
- Ensure that Aboriginal people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds have equal access to employment, information in their own language, activities that reflect their own interests and culture and opportunities to promote their culture.
