Home Power Savings Program - now open!
Every eligible household that joins the program will get a FREE:
- Home power assessment by an energy expert to identify ways to save power in the home Power Savings Kit to help kick start savings which includes: stand-by saver power board 4 energy efficient light bulbs low flow showerhead shower timer tap aerator draught-proof strips for around the door door snakes.
- Personal Power Savings Action Plan
To be eligible for the program you must live in NSW and contribute to the power bills for the property.
At least one person in your household must have one of the following cards:
- Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card Department of Veterans' Affairs Pensioner Concession Card Department of Veterans' Affairs (Gold) Repatriation Health Card Department of Veterans' Affairs (White) Repatriation Health Card
- OR be a recognised energy utility hardship customer

NSW Energy and Water Rebates (Home Saver Rebates) - PROGRAM NOW CLOSED
NOTE: The total amount of NSW Home Saver Rebates a household can receive must not exceed $1500 per property.
Hot Water System Rebate - now closed.
The rebate is available for new gas, solar or heat pump hot water systems which replace an electric system. Limit one system per household.
How much is the rebate?
• $300 for a gas hot water system with a 5-star or higher energy rating
• $300 for a solar or heat pump hot water systems eligible for at least 20 Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) under the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target (MRET).
The rebate for solar and heat pump hot water systems is based on the amount of greenhouse gas emissions saved, determined by the eligibility of your system for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).

Eligibility
• The tank(s) must have a minimum 2000-litre capacity and be purchased in full and installed between 1 July 2007 and 30 June 2011. • Households not connected to the mains supply are eligible for a rebate for the purchase of the tank only.
Rainwater tanks installed to comply with BASIX (the Building Sustainability Index) for new homes, major renovations or a pool installation are not eligible for a rebate.

Dual Flush Toilet Rebate -now closed.
How much is the rebate?
$200 for replacing a single flush toilet with a new dual flush toilet with a minimum 4 star WELS* rating.
Eligibility
• Purchase a new dual flush toilet suite with a water rating of 4 star WELS* rating or higher for both the cistern and the pan between 15 January 2010 and 30 June 2011 inclusive • Replace a single flush toilet suite • Install the dual flush toilet in a residential property in NSW • Limit of one toilet rebate per property.
