Bathurst Regional Council’s Environmental Health Section is involved in a range of activities and programmes.  It strives to work with the community to protect, promote and improve public health within the Bathurst Region.

Council's Environmental Health and Building Surveyors provide assistance and information on a wide range of health-related matters concerning:

• Food hygiene
• Infectious diseases
• Effluent disposal systems
• Pest control matters
• Water quality
• Health promotion

In addition, Council's Environmental Health Officers monitor and regularly inspect:

• Food premises
• Hairdressers, beauticians and tattooists
• Caravan parks and camping grounds
