Bathurst Regional Council's Small Animal Pound is located on the corner of Vale Road and Lloyds Road, South Bathurst.
The Pound is open Monday to Friday between 12:30pm and 2:00pm. The Pound is closed on public holidays and weekends.
During operating hours, people are encouraged to visit the pound to view animals that are available for sale.
If you decide to adopt a pet from the Pound the following fee may apply:
$90.00 which covers the first vaccination (Hepatitis, Parvo virus, Distemper), microchipping (not including lifetime registation) and worming for intestinal worms.

The Bathurst Branch of the RSPCA donates $75.00 towards de-sexing of animals purchased from the small animal pound. This money is paid directly to the local veterinarian performing the procedure.
Masterfoods Australia & New Zealand donate a generous gift hamper for all animals purchased from the Pound.
The small animal pound is fitted with reverse cycle airconditioning to provide year round comfort for all animals. Animals are exercised daily, even in inclement weather, in the covered outdoor exercise area. |
