NAIDOC celebrates the survival of Indigenous culture and the Indigenous contribution to modern Australia. All Australians are encouraged to participate in NAIDOC Week activities.

dancersandreferencegroup.jpgNAIDOC Week is celebrated nationally in the second week of July each year, however, the local Indigenous community chooses to celebrate NAIDOC Week in September each year.

The Bathurst Local Aboriginal Consultative Committee heads the steering committee for planning and implementing NAIDOC Week and community members are encouraged to participate.
