Background
Since 2007 Council has offered schools within the Bathurst Region grants of up to $300.00 to undertake sustainability or environmental projects, with involvement from the students. In 2011 program this year the program was extended to include pre-schools and childcare facilities. The program will be again offered in 2012.
2012 Programme - Applications Close Friday 30 March 2012
Early Term 1, 2012, each primary school and preschool in the Bathurst Region has contacted by mail inviting them to apply for the grant.
The application form is also available on line here.
Projects can be new projects, or expand on existing projects. Ideas for projects can be gained from viewing previous projects or original projects can be created. However the project must be sustainability focused and involve all or some groups of children within the school.
