Bathurst Regional Council provides grants to assist local small businesses and not-for-profit organisations to improve access to their business for people with a disability. 

Businesses and not-for-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of either 50% of project costs, or up to a maximum of $5,000 on a dollar for dollar basis.

In the past, funds have been awarded to complete paths, build access ramps, install automatic doors and build or modify accessible toilets.

Projects must be completed within the current 2011/2012 financial year to be eligible to apply for a grant.  Applications for Round 1 of funding close date on 5 August 2011.
