Construction has commenced on the adventure playground at Victoria Park, located on the corner of Durham and Hope Street, Bathurst.

The park will include:

• state of the art play equipment
• sheltered BBQ's
• picnic tables
• all access toilet facilities
• pathways
• open space areas
• other factors - which will permit interaction by children of all ages

The playground will consist of a wide range of play equipment which is intended to stimulate the imagination of the children that visit the playground.

Several examples of play equipment at the park include a flying fox, stockyard maze, climbing structures and interactive play equipment as well as the usual swings and slides.

Bathurst Regional Council anticipates the project will be completed by October 2009.
