Seniors Week 2012 - 18 - 25 March
NSW Seniors Week celebrates the valuable contribution seniors make to our community. Here in Bathurst, it is our way of saying thank you to seniors and a great opportunity for all the generations to join with older people to celebrate.
Celebrations include more than 700 events across metropolitan, regional and rural NSW and seniors are encouraged to take time out to learn something new, step out at one of the many dance events, be adventurous with a new outdoor activity or visit an art gallery or museum in your local area.
So take advantage of these great opportunities for all seniors in NSW and join in with the 250,000 plus seniors who attend the celebration each year and – LIVE LIFE!
The 2012 Bathurst Seniors Week program is now available! There really is something for everyone with 15 events in Bathurst throughout the week - including informative workshops, sing-a-longs, concerts, movies and a BBQ and morning teas.
A special event in 2012 will be the Bathurst Agricultural Research Station BBQ on Tuesday, 20 March 2012. 2012 marks the 25th visit to the Bathurst Agricultural Research Station during Seniors Week and this ensures there will be a very special celebration.
Most events are free, but numbers are limited and bookings are required. Refer to the booking information for each event in the Program.
The Seniors Ticketing Day during which registrations and bookings are taken for many events will be held in the foyer of the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre (BMEC) between 10am and 12pm (noon) on Friday, 9 March 2012. If you are unable to attend the ticketing day please ring Bathurst Regional Council on 6333 6146.
